I have a great new line up for Heroes of Color. There are 6 videos in development and 6 more in the script phase. They will be rolled out in early 2017 as a set of six. It has been a lot of work behind the scenes, and I have actually been documenting some of the work in progress and will share some short videos explaining the process and give you some insight into what this series is all about.

Since launching the second episode of Heroes of Color, there have been numerous comments and reviews made of the series, but none quite as exhilarating as the one given by the good folks at idearocketanimation.com. I was floored with how much attention to detail was given to the design choices made. Please read the full article here.. and leave a comment!!
Heroes of Color recognized in the U.K. - We're making progress. So grateful to Michael Hagerman my script editor, J. Aaron Boykin my Narrator and Carlos Heredia music composer for helping me bring this project to life.
Honored to have been written up on Remezcla.com. The post has been shared over 10,000 times. While some people had some pretty nasty things to say about the short and the series, overall I am amazed at how well it is being received by the public. I entered the 2016 Webisode Challenge and took 3rd place with 92 votes. The competition was tough. For most of the way, I held the second place position, but slowly started slipping to third place. Great videos competed and am honored to have taken part of it. My friends, family and followers on twitter really helped me to get the word out.
Episode #2 is coming along nicely. The music was composed by my brother Carlos Heredia and it came out absolutely amazing. I am excited to be working with him again. The artwork came out fantastic and the story is incredibly inspiring. I am finishing up the last few touches on one of the panels before starting the video edits and motion graphics. This one promises to be lots of fun and has been highly anticipated on twitter by my fans and followers. I'm excited to announce that episode #1 was the recipient of an award at the International New York Film Festival. What excites me most about that news is that someone else acknowledges the importance of this series.
I submitted my first grant today in an attempt to get funding for Heroes of Color. One of the requests were to get 3 letters of support from professionals. Well, when I reached out to the office of U.S. Congressman Charles Rangel for support, imagine my surprise when I was actually able to get his endorsement. It's inspiring and helps me to realize more and more that this project needs to happen.
Episode#2 is fast becoming my favorite. The artwork is coming out really good and I am working on ways on how to improve the video. I am going to experiment a bit on the style and broaden my digital storytelling skills. There are 12 scenes in this episode and seven are already confirmed as final "rough" sketches such as this scene of our hero leading one of the most successful slave rebellions in the Americas. No more clues on who this is yet, stay tooned!
