I was honored to be invited as the "Innovation Week Special Speaker" and animator in residence workshop facilitator for Kindergarteners up to the 4th graders. I kicked it off with a talk about my inspiration behind the Heroes of Color episode on Dr. Ronald McNair and the importance of choosing a job that you love. After speaking at two assemblies, I put together an interactive comic book workshop for 2nd graders, 3rd-4th graders and a character design workshop for Kindergarten. All workshops opened with a 10-15 minute lecture, and the rest of the time was dedicated to hands on design. None of these would have been possible without the tireless efforts of Courtenay Kanyikirize, Lauren Arshad, Ray Cunningham, and all the teachers of Mirman School for their support.
