“Instead of asking kids, ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?,’ this program asks them, ‘What problems do you want to solve in the world?’ By reframing it that way, now we’re going to give them some tools that they can use — how to animate, how to tell a story, how to map it out, what does the animation pipeline look like?” says Heredia, who worked previously for Walt Disney Feature Animation and was a vendor at San Diego’s Comic-Con. “They’re using their own critical thinking skills to try to figure out how they can solve a problem that exists in their world.  Read more...
