Creative Enrichment Programs

Jr. ARTrepreneurs

Students will create and sell custom art while building confidence, critical thinking skills, and financial literacy. The program culminates in an art show where students will sell their custom work. All art supplies are provided.

Animating for Change

Students will create a 60-second animated public service announcement that speaks on social issues that are important to them. The lesson plans can be customized to align with the school curriculum. School iPads are preferred but can be provided for additional cost.

Public Art Design

Students will create vibrant murals that beautify public spaces, engage youth in meaningful projects. The program culminates in an opportunity for students to be paid participants in a public mural project, offering hands-on experience, career exploration, and community engagement.

Heroes of Color - Hand Puppets

Students perform puppet shows using a wide range of multicultural hand puppets and promote cultural awareness, empathy and belonging. Older students can write and perform plays with multiple participants, while younger kids will respond to story prompts. Longer programs will design clothes and build props for their puppet shows. Puppets are provided.

Little Heroes of Color Puppet Show

Students will bring stories to life in the Little Heroes Film Festival by building sets out of cardboard, recording audio, and taking part in assembling a final edited video. Using pre-cut characters from the popular Scholastic book Little Heroes of Color (each student receives a free copy), they’ll create popsicle figure puppets, select from 50 diverse characters, and produce their own 60-second film professionally recorded by our instructors. The final short films can be showcased during school.

Virtual World Design

Students will work together to design and create their own immersive, virtual world platform. Students will be given exercises, engage in scavenger hunts, and give a short presentation on the virtual world stage. Custom local heroes can be added to fit school objectives.

Virtual Reality Explorers

Let’s introduce career pathways to students through immersive simulations replicating real-world scenarios. This will enable students to explore various professions firsthand, aiding in informed career decision-making while facilitating experiential learning. up to 20 VR Glasses provided.

Requirements: No art skills required, Interest in game or app development, computer science, STEM related industries,

Comics Academy (Digital or Traditional)

Students will learn how to write, edit, design, and create their comic books. Templates will be provided. The comics can be created using digital software on a tablet (with a digital pen) or traditionally on paper.

Eco-Engineers Academy

Test your creativity by creating functioning objects out of cardboard. The workshop will require using hot glue guns, box cutters (or blades), rulers, and cutting boards.

Requirements: Interest in arts & crafts, STEM related industries

Grades: 6th Grade - High School

Multicultural Arts & Crafts

Explore diverse cultures through hands-on projects like custom canvases, intricate rice art, and captivating perler bead creations. Students will learn about the world through the arts, ending with a multicultural art exhibition.
